DeMolay teaches young men to value education and understand that public schools are a bulwark of our liberty. Through generous support from various Masonic bodies, DeMolays are offered a variety of scholarships they can you to pursue higher education. These scholarships are not available to the general public, but are offered to DeMolays and other Masonic Youth Groups. Below, you will find a description of scholarships currently available to DeMolays.
The Grand Lodge of North Carolina AF&AM, North Carolina Masonic Foundation
The purpose of this scholarship is to reward and encourage scholastic achievement among deserving members of DeMolay, Rainbows, and Job’s Daughters. It is administered by a subcommittee of the Grand Lodge Committee on Masonic Youth. The committee plans to award two scholarships in the amount of $1,600.00 to deserving members of the Masonic Youth organizations.
Scholarships will be awarded based upon various factors, including the individual’s involvement with his or her Masonic youth group, scholastic achievement, financial need, involvement in the community, and participation in extracurricular activities.
Charles Edward Cathey Masonic Scholarship
Kach Essay DeMolay Competition
The Paul R. Kach Essay Competition is sponsored by The Supreme Council 33 degree Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Masonic Jurisdiction of the United States of America. Regional winners receive $300 and national winners receive $1,200.
Frank S. Land Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded by DeMolay International on an annual basis. Applicants must be an Active DeMolay to be eligible.
General Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons Scholarship
DeMolay International awards these $1,000 York Rite Scholarships to Active DeMolays and Senior DeMolays pursuing a post-baccalaureate education.
