The Grand Lodge of North Carolina, Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons

North Carolina Masonic Foundation Scholarship for Masonic Youth

The purpose of this scholarship is to reward and encourage scholastic achievement among deserving members of DeMolay, Rainbows, and Job’s Daughters.  It is administered by a subcommittee of the Grand Lodge Committee on Masonic Youth.  The committee plans to award one DeMolay scholarship, one Rainbow scholarship, and one Job’s Daughter scholarship, each in the amount of $1,300.00.

Attached is a copy of the application and the rules and requirements.  Scholarships will be awarded based upon various factors, including the individual’s involvement with his or her Masonic youth group, scholastic achievement, financial need, involvement in the community, and participation in extracurricular activities.  The completed application and all required attachments must be postmarked by April 18, 2009 in order to be considered.  Advisors may make as many copies of the application as needed for interested applicants.

We are excited to have this opportunity to award scholarships to ambitious and deserving Masonic youth to help them pursue goals of higher education.  We appreciate your interest and look forward to reviewing the applications.

                                    In love and service,

                                    Mrs. Johanna R. Silber, PGWA
