Welcome to the North Carolina DeMolay web site. What is DeMolay? DeMolay International is the world’s largest youth fraternity. Young men ages 12 to 21 can join DeMolay. There are hundreds of DeMolay chapters throughout the United States and several other countries. DeMolay offers leadership training, fun activities (like sports, dances, competitions, trips, video games, and parties), civic service projects, management skills, public speaking opportunities, honors and scholarships. Scholarships

for Masonic Youth

Dear Masonic Youth:

I would like to invite you to apply for the North Carolina Masonic Foundation Scholarship for the academic year 2010-2011. The purpose of this scholarship is to reward and encourage scholastic achievement among deserving members of DeMolay, Rainbows, and Job’s Daughters.  It is administered by a subcommittee of the Grand Lodge Committee on Masonic Youth.  The committee plans to award one DeMolay scholarship, one Rainbow scholarship, and one Job’s Daughter scholarship, each in the amount of $1,300.00.  We are also excited to announce an additional scholarship available this year, the Dick Bitner Benevolent Fund Scholarship for outstanding Masonic youth service up to $800.00.

Attached is a copy of the application and the rules and requirements.   You may apply for both scholarships in the same application.  Scholarships will be awarded based upon various factors, including the individual’s involvement with his or her Masonic youth group, scholastic achievement, financial need, involvement in the community, and participation in extracurricular activities.  The completed application and all required attachments must be postmarked by April 26, 2010 in order to be considered.  Advisors may make as many copies of the application as needed for interested applicants.

We are excited to have this opportunity to award scholarships to ambitious and deserving Masonic youth to help them pursue goals of higher education.  We appreciate your interest and look forward to reviewing the applications.

                                                                         In love and service,

                                                                         Mrs. Johanna R. Silber, PGWA
